Please don't lose focus during a kidnapping.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the deadly Sunday night incident. Detectives say three suspects forced 20-year-old Gregory Longley into their car at gunpoint. They hoped he would lead them to another man, with whom they were in a dispute over stolen coins. Authorities say the suspect sitting next to Longley, 18-year-old Javon Strange, laid his handgun on his lap while sending a message. Longley grabbed the gun, fatally shot Strange and injured the suspect in the passenger seat. He ordered the driver to stop the car, escaped and called 911.

I really hope he was able to send that last text and that his final words were, "What up cuz?"
