Karl Rove told the rule of law to go fuck itself today when he decided to ignore a subpoena from Congress. His empty place card just sat there and the dozen protesters behind the empty chair were sad. Boo.
Former White House adviser Karl Rove defied a congressional subpoena and refused to testify Thursday about allegations of political pressure at the Justice Department, including whether he influenced the prosecution of a former Democratic governor of Alabama.
Karl had previously said he would meet with Congress "off the record," because he is a criminal. That's what criminals do. Congress is looking into political pressure in the Justice Department and there is no way in hell Dough Boy can hide behind the president on this one.
A decision on whether to pursue contempt charges now goes to the full Judiciary Committee and ultimately to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Oh! That means nothing will happen!
