Yeah, a couple of weeks ago I was at work and we were having our morning meeting and our customer service manager started to tell us all about how global warming was all a hoax. Yes, she only watches ClusterFox. Then everyone else chimed in about how they didn’t care about global warming or how the Earth will fix itself or how the baby Jesus will save us all. I really had to bite my tongue before I said something that would have probably got me fired.
My husband's aunt doesn't believe in recycling because "the Lord could bring us all home to Him any day now, so what's the point?" I have taken that attitude and am now eating nothing but bon-bons and drinking champagne - cause what's the point in worrying about my health or weight when the Rapture could happen soon?
I think there's room for intelligent discussions on both sides of the fence. I believe there is definitly a movement in the works by souless bastards to pirate the global warming awareness to make a buck. Cap n trade is one such scheme the Gore is pushing that really puts capital in front of the real issues. It's really the intolerance to discuss on both sides that really sticks in my throat.

Yeah, that's a major factor in their thinking. The sooner the Earth goes to hell, the quicker the end days will arrive.
