Wow. These morons never cease to amaze. Obama has proposed creating a "civilian national security force." He want to expand AmeriCorps and create service programs like "Classroom Corps." It would be like a Peace Corp for teachers.
Obviously, that is the beginning of Nazism, according to Georgia Republican Congressman Paul Broun.
“That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” Broun said. “When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he’s showing me signs of being Marxist.”First of all, that is some crazy, sexy language. Second, having young people be of service to their country is so much like Nazis that my spine is all tingly. It's just a short step from the Peace Corp to killing Jews. Wake up, people!

The right wing really doesn't get history doesn't it. These are the same people who think that the Nazi's where left wing cause they had the word Socialist in their name. I guess that makes the Chinese government communist.
I just read the article and wow are they making a leap what he was talking about. What Obama suggested was having the foriegn service working for national security purposes and not the army. It would not be volunteers rather better funded public servants and appears to be seperate to the volunteer intitatives. Firstly the foreign service is public service which is civilian, but like how the police force is civilian. The German foreign service was actually a voice for reason in (early) Nazi Germany so much so that Hitler started using Ribbentrop to bypass it. Hey crazy Republican person when Obama sets up another foreign service staffed by members of the Democrats along side the existing one to push his agenda cause the real one won't do what he wants call me.
p.s. neither the KGB nore the Gestapo came under the auspices of their respective countries foreign services. Talk about grasping at straws.
